[All through the night, Ammy fought valiantly, despite the fact that the monsters kept reappearing. If she could stop them before they hurt someone, then she would stop them. You can probably bet that if you ran to a safehouse, Ammy wasn't too far away, keeping the pirates occupied. You may have even seen the sight of a powerful Thunderbolt or a roaring, raging ball of Inferno completely frying the pirates, or got caught in a fierce Deluge as Ammy summoned rain to slow the ghostly fiends down.

And once the sun rose...

...Well. One can find Ammy sitting not too far from the ship, fur standing on end in agitation and a deep, hateful growl rumbling from her chest. It appears that you have a guardian, Vatheon, even if she can't protect everyone. She will do her damnedest to try.]

[That was one heck of a night. After all that running and fighting, Green is glad to catch a break and just take a walk around and survey the damage.

And then he catches sight of a white wolf not to far away. ...Reminds him of those guardian statues he'd seen in Johto once.

Curiously, Green approaches Amaterasu, stopping a couple of feet away from her.]

[The growling stops at his presence. She looks up, tiredly.]

[He's usually not one to talk to random Pokémon or animals so he just settles down next to her for now, wearily glancing at the pirate ship.]

You fought them too, right?

[Yep. She'll keep fighting, too.]

[After some time, Rider walks over as well. She had been fighting all night, and although she wouldn't admit it, it was rather nice to catch a break.]

It appears they truly were just creatures of the night.

[Creatures of the night, maybe. Even under miles of water... the sun's light can tickle this city, and even the slight trickle of light is what protects it.]

[Rider comes to stand next to Ammy, taking in the now peaceful surroundings. Even the slain corpses had vanished, leaving the city as clean as it once was.]

Will you be protecting this place?

_{[And that's Lea, hesitantly skating up to the strange dog sitting near the pirate's own little place. He's carrying a paper bag in one hand, looking a bit wary.

Mom always said not the feed stray dogs, but in the madness of last night, he caught sight of... Well, whole lots of crazy something as he and Isa made a mad dash for the safehouse.]}

Um, you're, like a magic dog, right?

_{[...He feels so awkward right now.]}

[Oh hey, a kid. Ammy instantly calms down, a small wolfy smile on her face. She wags her tail a little. Hey, kiddo. She remembers making sure you had a safe path.]

_{[Magic enough to fight ghost pirates but not magic enough to talk. Huh. Alright. Still, she seems friendly, so Lea grins and crouches down.]}

Thought I'd thank you for what you did last night. I was kind of grocery shopping anyway, so I thought I'd pick this up.

_{[He pulls some jerky out of the bag.]}

I've never had a dog, but you're supposed to like this kind of stuff, right?

It seems like these stupid ghost things are coming from that damned ship, huh?

...Tch. Someone's gotta do something about that ship, we can't just stand around waiting for them to come back out and attack us.

[Cissnei is not far from the ship either. When she sees Ammy, she hunkers down and approaches the wolf. Once she is close enough, she cautiously clears her throat and kneels at the wolf's side.]

Are you hurt?

Arr?

[Nope, she's fine. She's quick to recover.]

[She checks the wolf over before nodding.]

I appreciate what you're doing.

[A very tired Mitsuhide has come to observe the ship from afar when he spots Amaterasu.]

[He stops, and watches her for a moment. Ever since someone told him who she was, he's been somewhat nervous about approaching her. This is his mother Goddess, after all... and if it's true...]

[Can't avoid it forever. So he approaches, perhaps a little nervously.]

Great Mother? Are you... alright?

[Oh it's the nice guy! She opens her mouth in a happy pant, tail wagging. Been a while!

[Despite his nervousness, Mitsuhide smiles.]

That must be a yes.

[He kneels down. Goddess... how does one address a Goddess? A thought nudged him, which pretty much said to do as he did beforehand. She liked it then, after all.]

I wish I had food to offer this time... but it has not crossed my mind much. As you can imagine, Great Mother.

[Mitsuhide holds out a hand instead, offering to pet her!]

[Al had been up all night fighting off those nasty pirates with his brother and their Alchemy. There was a lot of help from others, too, which he was more than grateful for. He even got to see some familiar faces. But now that it was day time, Al decided it would be best to help out the search party by looking for any stragglers or injured people and perhaps maybe even... casualties, but he didn't want to think about that.

When he spotted Ammy he had to blink and rub his eyes. Was that... a dog? No. A wolf. How strange, he hadn't expected to see animals around...oh! But then he remembered his brother speaking of meeting a goddess in the form of a white wolf on his first day of arrival. Maybe this was the particular animal in question that Ed had spoken of? Well, time to find out!]

Hey there, [He started as he approached cautiously.] mind if I join you?

[Oh hey! A kid!

Ammy pants, wagging her tail. Looks like she doesn't mind.]

[Al smiled and moved so he was beside her and held out a hand respectfully for her to sniff before he would move to pet her.]

You shouldn't be out here all alone, you know.
